Technical Support

ITS offers comprehensive technical support, service and maintenance contracts for your electrical tomography systems. We are committed to the provision of a total, quality assured service and we are certified to meet the requirements of ISO9001:2008.

Many customers take advantage of one of our cost effective technical support packages, for the first year of usage or on an annual renewal basis.   Technical support is available 24/7 by e-mail, telephone or webex discussions.  One off or regular site visits can be built into the contract if required.

ITS Laboratory

ITS has an on-site, state of the art laboratory where our applications engineers can demonstrate our instruments, test sensors and new systems, undertake feasibility studies or customer trials and engage in research and development activities.

Our customers often visit our facilities to view process tomography in practice, to be trained on our systems and to test their own application specifications.

Feasibility Studies

Many of our customers take advantage of our laboratory facilities to complete experiments and feasibility studies, prior to purchasing a customised tomography system. This is especially true for unusual or challenging applications, where process tomography can often reveal data and information not available using any other visualisation technique.

Every feasibility study is designed for purpose, so the duration depends on the specific application and budget. Contact our applications team to discuss your own application requirements.

Rentals and on Site Trials

ITS process tomography equipment is available for rental on a short term basis, for on site trials or particular research projects. An on site trials programme would include the skills and expertise of a dedicated ITS applications engineer, who would provide training and support in systems use and data interpretation.

Every equipment rental or on site trial study is designed for purpose, so the specification depends on your application and budget. Contact our applications team to discuss your own application requirements.

Sensor Design

Sensor design is a particular skill within the ITS applications team and we work with every individual customer to ensure the optimal sensor design to meet their application requirements. Our engineers will prepare technical drawings for customer approval and work with our own resources, or alternative producers, to ensure all sensors are manufactured to the highest standards.

All sensors are fully tested with the designated tomography system before shipment to customer premises. Our engineers work to rigorous ISO 9001 and, where required, ATEX certification.

Installation and Training

With every equipment and systems purchase you will receive full support from our application specialists for training and installation.  This would normally take place straight after the delivery of your chosen equipment and should be application specific wherever possible.

Further training is always available if required.  Many customers ask us to deliver on-site training to new users or more advanced training sessions as your engineers and researchers become more familiar with process tomography.  We can also organise training at our head office in Manchester or at your chosen location.
